Horse Head in Your Bed? | Angie Mitchell | 12 Second Commute

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Something happened to me today and I just can’t make myself feel better about the situation. For those of you in 12 Second Commute or for anybody involved with Internet Marketing for that matter, I want you to know that things like this do happen and will continue to happen as long as there is life.

Disappointments.

The reason I’m so upset about what I’m about to tell you is because it has never happened to me before until sometime last night. I like to think that I’m a different kind of internet marketer, actually I don’t like to think of myself as an Internet Marketer because for me it has a bit of a negative connotation, it makes me think of a person who is trying to sell something, someone who has dollar signs in their eyes.

Although I’m in business to make money, I don’t want to “sell” to people, I want to help enhance their business and in turn enhance their life.

I will tell you this, there is no better feeling in the world than knowing that I played some small part in helping someone else attain success no matter how small or large that success becomes.

I have done everything in my power to help or direct the people on my 12 Second Commute team and I see us all as equals, we all want the same things, we are all just at different points in the “game” and as long as we are moving forward at a slow and steady pace, I know we will win the race.

I’m rambling.

I could go on and on…

But I want to warn you in advance if you ever join my 12 Second Commute team, I won’t call it a “downline” because that’s negative to me as well, if you are ever on my team, I’m going to be the biggest pain in the ass sponsor you will ever have because I want you to succeed. Even if you give up on yourself, I won’t!

Sometime in the wee hours of the morning, the very first person to join my 12 Second Commute team QUIT! I have turned myself inside out, upside down and backwards to reach out. It started off so well, then turned into nothing at all. But I kept trying and giving… leaving her to her business but letting her know I was still there.

I got nothing in return. Sure she had a good following of her own, they are also on my team but that’s not the point.

I lost one.

For me, it doesn’t mater who’s team you’re on, if I can help I will.

My good friend Jim Roche has always told me “don’t get too high and don’t get too low” I guess I feel this way because I care so much. I feel as though I have failed. I prided myself knowing that not a single person that has joined me has left… until today.

I know the old saying goes “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make em drink” well I’m sure as hell going to try! (The image I have in my head is arms and legs wrapped around the horse neck while hanging over a puddle of water trying desperately to get his head down.)

You are not invited to my pity party, the bar is closed… time to go home.

I love Art Williams and needed a little motivation and so might you.

Here is Art’s 2 part video.

Paying It Forward ~ By Angie Mitchell

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

I’ve wanted to write a thank you to all my friends for some time now…

I want to publicly say thank you to all my friends. You know who you are. I learned so much and it really does mean a lot to me. Social media has created a whole new set of “friends” who know a lot about me and care about me, even though I may have never met in person. In fact some of my closest friends, I have met online. Many of these friends have taken the time to mold me into the Entrepreneur I am today.

They took the time to drop what they were doing and reach out. Thank you.

Most touching are the “friends” I have never met, or maybe met briefly. Your stories and friendships are heartwarming. You continue to motivate and inspire me and that means more to me than you will ever know.

This past year as some of you know has been at times overwhelming and a roller coaster to say the least. I came onto the scene in March 09 and have given up alot to follow my dreams of being an Internet Marketer. I will always be forever grateful for all the encouragement and support you have given to me. When times get rough, you really know who your friends are.

I was trying not to mention names but Jim Roche NJ has been there pretty much since Day 1, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I am. Somehow I’ll find a way to repay you… so a very special thanks to Jim.

I have always tried to respond to every person who contacts me, any time, on any subject. I remember when it was me on the other end trying to meet people, get advice, and get growing. I’m still discovering and moving forward everyday.

Taking the leap into Internet Marketing has been a life changing event… for the better. The future is very bright. The opportunity is amazing. But, there are millions of other people who have struggled and continue to struggle in this industry where the promise is sometimes not so bright.

I ask each and every one of you to do whatever you can to help these people. Reach out to them. Don’t wait for them to contact you. You contact them. Do it now. Respond to their emails. Accept their phone calls. Refer opportunities to them. Take the time, show compassion, do the right thing and above all else be honest and sincere. Remember, it may be you one day who needs the help.

Give and you shall receive… when you need it most. It is not just a cliché. It is a way of life, and it works!

Thank you all. I appreciate every single one of you.

Network Marketers Learn From Failure And Strive For Success

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Successful Network Marketers are not afraid to fail. Instead, they see “failures” as indicators of what they need to alter in order to move their Internet Marketing Business to the next level. They realize that even a failure can be turned into a success, as long as you learn and grow from it.

People who are afraid to fail rarely take risks, they exist in a very small comfort zone. As a consequence, they never discover anything new about the world or themselves. It is a mistake to believe that all error is wrong and harmful, actually it is a helpful and a necessary means of solving life’s problems.

I am realistic enough to know that it will happen now and again. When we stumble, that experience has a way of helping us to sharpen our skills and when we fail and take the time to learn from them, we realize what we need to accomplish next in order to improve.

Failing is essential to being successful in anything you do, e.g., relationships, sports, business ventures, etc. Failure is simply a hole in the road. It is merely learning how to succeed, I look at it as the seeds of future success. So when you fail at something, look a little closer. Find out where the train came off the track, make the correction and try again.

When you hit a pot hole you’ll notice that you survived, the world didn’t come to an end and you discovered a little more about yourself; your strengths, your weaknesses and above all, your capabilities. Become empowered to overcome obstacles to ultimately succeed at what you want to achieve.

What would you attempt to do, if you knew your failures were merely stepping stones to your ultimate success?

You can be what you want to be but first you must know what your goals are. You must have a plan, put that plan into action and turn that action into success! Success is as big or small as you make it.

The people that become successful with Internet Marketing are those that truly believe in themselves above anything else. They refuse to give up on the first try, second maybe even a third or fourth try. Failure is an important part of the journey. A leader begins from the inside. They work hard at giving and that radiates to others.

In a world where Internet Business makes it possible for anyone to reach goals and bring their entrepreneurial dreams to life, it doesn’t make sense to let the possibility of a satisfying and fulfilling career pass you by. It’s up to you to make it happen. You are not your failures, your failures are part of your success!
